Join Our Volunteer Team

Music helps summon the Holy Spirit in a very direct and personal way. It is one of the most joyful offerings to God and allows our spirits to soar. Everyone is invited to be involved in music at Emmanuel: as a dedicated choir or band member, an occasional instrumentalist, or an enthusiastic congregational singer. Even the engaged listener has an important role!

If you are interested in sharing your musical talent, please contact our Musical Director, Andy Spang.

Adult Choir

If you love to sing, the adult choir may be for you. The Adult Choir, under the direction of Andy Spang, sings every Sunday at the 10am service, September through June. They also offer special musical events in worship twice a year. No audition is required and all are welcome.

Handbell Choir – The Emmanubells

Handbell ringing is great fun and is an easily acquired skill. The bells contribute a special magical quality to our worship services. The Handbell Choir plays 6-8 times a year, September-June, and for special services. Adults and children who are in 5th grade and older are welcome to join. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 7-8pm.

Cornerstone Praise Band

We have a praise band that plays for our blended worship service at 10am. Our band leads us in joyous praise music each Sunday. So dust off your electric guitars, drums or vocal chords and join the band in praising God. Practices vary, depending upon the availability of the band members.

Worship Musicians

If you sing or play an instrument, you are invited to play in our worship services. During our summer months and occasionally throughout the year, we feature soloists of all ages in our worship service. We enjoy all kinds of music in worship.

Music During Sunday School

Part of our Sunday school program includes musical instruction and singing. Laura Baker, who is an elementary school music teacher, is our Sunday School music teacher. Our Sunday School children join us in worship and present their songs throughout the year.
