Wesley Innovation Hub Stories, 2-4 PM
It’s a Wrap! Join us on January 23, 2-4 p.m., to hear stories from the Wesley Innovation Hub! Congregations will share their inspiring stories of learning and innovation with young adults—even through the pandemic—and how they have learned to listen, experiment, evaluate, and pivot. After the congregational videos, we’ll be discussing congregational innovation and young adult ministry with a panelists of experts, featuring: Dr. Reginald Blount, Associate Professor of Formation, Leadership, and Culture at Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary and Director of Garrett’s Young Adult Initiative program, Holy Yearnings, Holy Listening, Holy Partnerships Rev. Melissa Wiginton, Vice President for Education Beyond the Walls at Austin Presbyterian Seminary and Director of the 787 Collective (Young Adult Initiative program) Rev. Kadia Edwards, National Coordinator of Volunteer Mobilization and Disaster Response Ministries for American Baptist Home Mission Societies and professional storyteller Zachary Spoerl, former Student Research Associate for the Wesley Innovation Hub and current youth crisis counselor The Wesley Innovation Hub is a 5-year project involving 20 DC-area congregations across 14 denominations in experimentation and collaborative learning to engage young adults beyond their congregations. To join, find us on Facebook Live or register for the Zoom webinar. Questions? Contact us at innovation@wesleyseminary.edu.
