Accessibility at Emmanuel

Emmanuel UMC is committed to being an inclusive and welcoming faith community for all, including people with disabilities or differing abilities. At Emmanuel, we offer a sign language interpreter during the 9am service on the 1st & 3rd Sunday and on other Sundays and events upon request. Some of the ways we are committed to accessibility includes:
- Offer assistive listening devices
- Large print materials
- Sign language interpreter
- Trained greeters and volunteers
- Promote disability awareness observances or campaigns (e.g. Disability Awareness Sunday)
- An elevator for wheelchair users
- Audio description upon request
- Captions for multimedia videos
- Offer periodic sign language classes
For accessibility accommodations or concerns, please contact the disability ministries coordinator, Rev. Leo Yates, at RevYates@eumclaurel.org or by calling him at 301-725-5200.
