Grades 6-8

The mission of the United Methodist Youth at Emmanuel is to provide a risk-free environment that encourages its’ members to develop and deepen their faith in God and to direct the youth towards a life that calls them to minister to others.  This can be accomplished with the support of peers, parents and the church body. 

Sunday School is available every Sunday from 9:00-10:00 am in the Ministry Center.  The class is taught by Jim Iron, Jennifer Nance and Alan Williams.  The class uses the Live Big curriculum. In November, Confirmation for our 8^th grade youth begins!

An activity is usually held on the second and fourth Sunday of each month.  Some of the events this year will be a lock-in, Shadowland, bowling, go-karts, and lunch at a local restaurant. 

The Wednesday Night Special- Dinner will be held from 6:00-6:45.  The class begins at 6:45 and ends at 8:00.  Check the calendar for specific dates.

Wednesday Night ROCK - This group meets from 7:00-8:00 pm in the Ministry Center on the first and third Wednesday of each month when The Wednesday Night Special isn’t being held.  This small group enjoys a time of fellowship while hearing a message about God.  Check the calendar for specific dates. 

Annual Events that the youth participate in are: Rock Youth Retreat in Ocean City, Kid’s Night Out, Breakfast with St. Nicholas, Vacation Bible School, Shrove Tuesday Pancake Super, Winter Haven, youth liturgist and ushers.
