The Fund has been established to provide members and friends of Emmanuel UMC the opportunity to make charitable gifts that will become a permanent endowment for financial support of the long range health of the church. The Fund has been set up with the Mid-Atlantic United Methodist Foundation in order to collect funds and invest them for current and future use. Investments are in socially responsible stocks and securities that reflect the mission and values of the United Methodist Church. There are two accounts – Designated and Undesignated. The Designated Account has been established for specific accounts/projects. The Undesignated Account provides seed money for the development of new ministries beyond the usual general operations of the church, such as missions, community projects, etc.
Donations to the Undesignated Account in the Fund can be made in several ways:
1. Checks made out to the EUMC Endowment Fund (Undesignated Account) and sent to the Church Office or placed in the Collection Plate
2. Electronic stock transfers
3. Estate distribution plan
There is no cost or fees for members and friends of Emmanuel UMC to make contributions.
