Embodied: What if God Was One of Us

God who is love—

In the flesh, you come. In the midst of our lives, you enter.

Because you walked our earth
we are to see the face of the Divine
in every person we meet:
the friend who betrayed,

the family member who gets on our last nerve,
the man on death row,
the clerk in the store,
the people we call our enemies.

Every time I love,
the mystery of the Incarnation happens.
Every time I love,
I birth you on earth.

ADOPT A FAMILY CHRISTMAS GIVING

Once again, we have the opportunity to give a Merry Christmas to families in our community. Beginning on November 12th, we will have the wish lists for 9 LARS families including 21 children and 9 adults ready for pickup in the Fellowship Hall. The wish lists include detailed information on each family member along with needs/wishes. You’ll have three weeks to purchase your gifts, wrap them, and bring them to church on December 3rd so we can deliver to LARS. We can also donate grocery gift cards and/or donate holiday food to the LARS pantry. For more information, please contact Carolyn Taylor at donbri12@verizon.net, Penny Merson at red1cent@aol.com, or Katie Weston at ktpenn@gmail.com.
